Our Rustic Panel Pine Wood Shutters are crafted from kiln-dried pine that undergoes a moisture inspection to ensure durability and prevent cracking or separation. Featuring a thickness of 1 inch and varying rail dimensions, these shutters combine handcrafted workmanship with state-of-the-art equipment for exceptional quality. Primed with a tinted grey primer for optimal paint adhesion, they may require light sanding before painting. Pine wood, however, is susceptible to rot in high moisture areas, and if located in such regions, cedar is recommended. For longest life, seal and paint annually. Suitable for fixed or decorative mounting, these shutters include clear Lexan mounting hardware, or they can be installed as functioning shutters with 3 hinges for shutters over 45 inches tall.
